Like all good artistic genii, William Blake wasn’t recognised in his own lifetime. He also championed a public-spirited attitude to sexuality so we have that in common too.
More pertinently though, here Willy describes what happens if you go through life not knowing what you want out of it. That’s why a human freelancer takes control of their own destiny and does what makes them happy, instead of being sucked into the global crap vortex.
Sadly though, this is where the affinity comes to an abrupt end because old Will was renowned for his mental visions of trees dripping with angels and he once saw God staring through his bedroom window. Lovely poems though.
